MyBlogLog Sunday
MyBlogLog Sunday week 41
13/Jan/08
Enough of the Thursday thing and an end to the confusion, it's Sunday and showtime.
When I first read her latest post, I thought Linda had the greatest hair ever as a teenager. Thinking back to my youth, I was going to beg to differ, but when I saw it was the greasiest, well, she's a winner :)
These guys never miss a trick with stats and scripts and webroot trojan stuff going on behind the scenes. They spotted a MyBlogLog widget anomaly here and Google get away with nothing. Sharp reporters.
The countdown is on till baby dropping time for IESP & it is only fitting that she has a cool mom cartoon. I wonder if it would be so funny if it really happened? Jeez, I can't bare to imagine that with my mom!
Claire has hit the big time and joined the big boys of blogging with her Golden Cock Award from the amazing Lord likely. Life will never be the same again - which is nice!
Kdub delves into the political arena and talks about Obama's victory in the Iowa caucuses. Who knows if he will be president, but for sure, Youtube will win the ratings war over the regular news channels.
If you can't get passionate about polar bears, there is something wrong with you. There is definitely nothing wrong with Diane, her bear book cover is cool, unlike the bears in the picture clinging to the melting ice floe.
It is always refreshing to read Dan's quintissential Northern English blog posts, especially when he refers to petrol. It sounds so much more important than gas. A lot more expensive than gas too!
MidLeah is from Alabama and doesn't fit in. I like that she will do the opposite of what the masses are trying to persuade her to do. So, leave her to make her own decision, else you will definitely not get her vote.
Lara loves her husband, but maybe she needs to tell him to tidy up more, and say once and for all that the local tramp actually dresses sharper than he does.

MyBlogLog Sunday 40 on Thursday
10/Jan/08
Is it me or are there only 9 faces in the screenshot? Very wierd. It must be the Thursday thing.
One minute Lynn Sorel was tucking into her diner food, the next she was on national TV giving her opinion on the Comeback kids' political victories in NH. Hopefully the first of many minutes of fame.
OS9User blows the lid on the horribly depraved sexual antics of Britney Spears. Not only is her behavior a lesson in naughtiness, but if you watch the vid, you might even get a worm too. Terrible.
If you thought you were the only one having a bad day, take heart. IESP's there too! With a little one on the way, she of all people could do without any hassle. Here's the big one to her hubby's boss.
Some money-making bloggers are totally out there with their advice, but Mike is totally out there with his satellite blogs attracting extra traffic to his main money-making blog. Ka-ching.
Steve Smit is a blogging ninja. He makes clever use of martial arts thinking in a blogging environment. His lessons in SEO and blogging are introduced a la Kwai Chung Kane. Ah so!
Can you guess from the country profile in the image where Adam Klimowski hails from? Answers in comments, and don't look on his MyBlogLog community page first.
Diane ripped down the tinsel on Jan 5th, a day before the 12th day of Christmas, (ummm!) but now she feels ready for a new hairdo. Or does she? She should be thankful she has enough hair to play with.
Dan has introduced a new feature on Sundays, called It's All Greek to Me. I think it may be just popular enough to sink all interest in MyBlogLog Sunday. Oh well, you heard it here first!
Not everyone had a great Christmas, Larry lost a good friend, but it sounds like Mr Hmmmm will have a lot of good moments ahead, savoring all the good memories and recollections of Jack.

MyBlogLog Sunday week 39
30/Dec/07
All I can tell you about Lynn is that she has a MyBlogLog community and OS9User is her first two friends. Any further words of enlightenment? I will be happy to pass them on.
OS9User reports on internet security. The breach of davidairey.com gets a lot of attention, but it was not all bad. 50,000 visitors / day was the price to pay for being cracked. Where do I sign?
Christmas is over at the I Eat Snowman Poop house and no one died from over-eating, probably because there was no pie for dessert. Uncle sounds like a total fruit and nut case.
Debbie reveals the dilemma of space-age hydrogen cells powering a UK lighthouse. The hydrogen is clean but comes from fossil fuels, so no environmental advantage there - just a shift around of pollution.
Linda got ahead of herself & published 1 blog post ahead of time. She recouped well with a full exposé of New Year resolutions, parties, Scotsmen, Steinbeck &.... It all makes perfect sense.
The Best bits of the Internet is yet another side of Lord Likely's life. Witness a low budget British movie about a garlic-fearing, fish-eating wannabe vegetarian vampire called Daveula. Lock up your bats.
If you want some fun insight into what a few English lads get up to at Christmas, read Dan's account of the M62 photo session and post pic pub trip.
Larry has been to France this year. He lived it up on the Riviera, munching on saffron. Talking of traveling, he has a clever flash cartoon about the perfect traveling couple who help out Santa.

MyBlogLog Sunday week 38
23/Dec/07
Ever thought of promoting your blog the old-fashioned way? Steve says try this business card service. Sounds convenient and almost free, and cards are useful for teeth picking and rickety table legs.
Video action may soon be rolling again, if the Breaking News team can break away from their snazzy new chat room. Always lots going on there with entertainment, tech and world news.
IESP continues to rock the fun world of home, pregnancy and work. This week she gambled and won $80, had a glucose test and got a Sirius radio. Howard Stern better be on his metal if she phones in.
Debbie reveals the dark side of Macau. A lighthouse is soon to be caught in the shadow of a concrete jungle monstrosity. Who will save the day? Don't count on anyone connected with the UN!
Having had a recent run-in with a mechanic myself, the mention of $400 to turn off a yellow light in her car caught my eye. My advice. Don't pay & for good measure, poke the courtesy shuttle driver IN the eye.
Remember when Mexicans complained that tortilla prices were through the roof, thanks to ethanol / corn policies? Now the policy is hitting US homes in the ass too. Linda laments rising food prices.
Jon Swift is a huge, I mean, humungous political satire heavyweight. I feel almost worthy to have him here this week, and recommend you head over to get his perspective on the news. He is right!
It is always a lively time with Lord Likely. When you next see the film, or read the book, Scrooge, remember it is a cheap imitation of the Likely original.
All that comes with that is an insightful blog from a cool Brit. There is some new perspective to GI Joe and cartoons and music and... I enjoyed the read. Bookmark

MyBlogLog week 37
16/Dec/07
Steve has steadily built up an impressive directory of software titles at 1 Cool File. Also check out his advice on Alert Pay which has netted him business that PayPal (c,w,sh) ouldn't handle.
Claire finds the funny side in her mother's health scares. I should introduce her to my father, he will be most annoyed to learn of someone with a tongue problem, one of the few he has never endured.
Some of Diane's work looks tasty enough to eat, and when I read that one of her calligraphy books had Japanese Chiyogami on the outside, I thought maybe it was literally coated in sushi. Wrong again.
Debbie reveals the dark side of Macau. A lighthouse is soon to be caught in the shadow of a concrete jungle monstrosity. Who will save the day? Don't count on anyone connected with the UN!
Mike has written hundreds of great posts on making money online. So good that some cad and bounder is copying his work wholesale. My advice? For once in your life, write some crap, man.
Linda is a big hit with the Stumble brigade, clocking over 1000 visits. If Stumbling is better than Digging, then logically, Falling is even better? So, make Linda happy & Wipe Out the Norwich free concert.
Someone is getting broody over at Lucys Dilemma blog!! Sounds like it is time for a barefoot walk in the snow to cool down.
Welcome to America, young Liam Matthew, the new third dolphin in the team. Let's hope the flight from Russia wasn't as nail biting as the flight out, to pick you up.
Since Larry's last appearance, Canada has been re-mapped. Calm down, it is nothing to do with the marauding colonists of old, just high cartographic jinks from the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Hmmmm.

MyBlogLog Sunday week 36
09/Dec/07
IESP is queen of the domestic appliances, and queen of domestic stories from hell. I wouldn't want to stand in her way at Walmart Customer Services unless I was hundreds of bucks out of pocket.
Terms like bionic, one legged and robot-mom aren't normally terms of endearment for a sick mom, but Claire has used them to good effect. If you know any good hospital jokes, let her know. (Boxing joke?)
Elf-like Diane has succumbed to Christmas and gone shopping for cards. Bah humbug. Judging by the weather reports in downtown Dorchester, it sounds like she had better ask Santa for a raft.
The phishers are after Debbie Dolphin, thanks to Google's new fascination with OpenID comments. She and millions of fellow Joans of the Blog feel gutted. Read up on some solutions.
After reading an open letter from a mother to her out of control celeb daughter, I feel so glad not to be a parent. Amy Winehouse, you are an inspiration to all wannabe childless couples.
Apparently, Linda usually gets up after I start blogging on Sundays, so she hasn't made too many appearances at MBL Sunday, of late. Today, however, she beat me too it and got a spot. Merry Xmas.
The breaking news is, OS9user smashed his specs last week and couldn't see an elephant a pixel-length in front of his face. New specs, video finger twitching, he's now ready for lights, camera, action.
Pisky is inching her way into blogging, getting the hang of Wordpress, penning a few posts about her family life, work, the good old stuff. Wasn't her little mascot boiled in Fatal Attraction?
From Taser humor to all things great in Canada, Past Expiry has a way with cartoons and words that will make you smile for sure. One to bookmark.

MyBlogLog Sunday 35
02/Dec/07
There will soon be another cast member at the I Eat Snowman Poop abode, but the happiness is tainted by swollen ankles, and a brother who melted the waste pipe with burning oil. Domestic bliss!
Blogging is a bliss according to Lena, & according to the cartoon she included, blogging is a matter of life and death too. Dying on-line while blogging seems rather extreme, but if that is bliss, so be it.
Spots, stripes, dots, lines, pots, lots of mugs & books... you name it, Diane's into it. According to Double Inspiration, she's also partial to pop stars, Bond, and (not mentioned in that post,) The Pisstakers.
Bloggers Unite is one of caring counsellor Claire's pet features this month. On the 17th write about an act of kindness, but beware of helping old people - some aren't as helpless as you think
Mike gives a hint at a new world order: China 1, Angola 2, Mexico 3. Relax everyone! It is the results of a Miss World contest for girls with hobbies like brokering world peace, fighting famine & shopping.
Alex is behind SmartLinks but he is not behind the times when it comes to understanding the internet. In his personal blog he broaches the painful issue of the long tail. Well worth a read if you seek dollars.
Il y a actuellement 3 passager(s) clandestin(s) dans le vaisseau subgalactique de Toby Dammit. Yes, I was one of 3 on-line at this French language subgalactic blog with dark overtones.
If you have never doodled, you have never lived, & if you don't go and see what can be doodled on a watch strap, you may never forgive yourself either. Doodled MyBlogLog avatars too. This is great.
If global warming continues, Inland Spain will become a desert & the Costa del Sol will end up under water. The only way out is for Antonio Banderas to do a Zorro & mobilise his people to make changes.
Olga's traveling bra blog is a site dedicated to her bosom pals. She asked for a quirky look at nature and had some photos of rock formations that fall slightly outside her niche topic.

MyBlogLog Sunday 34
25/Nov/07
Great Thanksgiving news for the 2 dolphins, Rob and Dede. A new baby from Russia with love, & a new job opportunity. Leaving work early to go change the diapers may be one for the future!
Before revealing 8 self facts, Lena confirms what I believed deep down. I am eating as much chocolate as possible before I die because I don't think there will be any up in heaven. Bookmark
Diane has a great way of weaving stories around her book making. This week, she is reminded of time warps and fashion times best forgotten, (or only revisited under the influence of drugs?)
He is never one to hide his light under a bushel, but now Lord Likely has us all guessing about a playing card & which dubious place a fellow might best conceal it. Enlightened answers on a postcard.
Again Mike hits the money-making nail on the head with 21 quick down and dirty ways to make a free online store pay dividends. And just to make sure there is no misunderstanding, down and dirty is good!
Are We There Yet has arrived with a brilliant new design. To keep up appearances, Linda also vied to become the best dressed blogger ever with some swanky EMS pants. I hope I read the first letter right.
Debbie reports little known facts about lighthouses, this time on Dutch Island. I misread the title, and was about to inform her that there was nothing new about flashing red lights in Dutch windows.
If you want to know what Breaking News are discovering ahead of the media pack, and you speak a hatful of languages, you are in luck with their new translator. Mucho lingo, mucho news-o, perfecto.
If I speed read incorrectly, it sounds like a lead-footed female govt official has been accused of mishandling Barbie's toxic waist. A few activist mothers have their knickers in a twist. Scandalous!
This synopsis of Qelqoth's blog is a wordsmith's thingy of beauty. Schismatic Discharge of Verbal Abuse. News and Reviews from the ArseCrack of Great Britain. Drop the Great & that is perfection!

MyBlogLog Sunday week 33
18/Nov/07
Baby Isaiah has just arrived into the slick web design world of CSS girl. Congratulations. We can expect to see a new direction in her work: themes produced in 2-hour bursts between feedings; lots of fluffy clouds...
Lord Likely claims he is too young and important to die. I concur. We would really miss his adventurous tales of woe and ho's in Victorian England. Absorb his profound (disturbed) humor in this tale of the Queen.
SmartLinks is a product-linking concept that requires smart people behind the scenes. Fraser is on the team, & brings a bit of madness to the mix too, having given up a pretty good job to risk all.
Did I mention that SmartLinks is a cool & unobtrusive way to link text to books, films & music. Alex' email has convinced me to rejig 1200 old articles so I can embrace this cool technology. Thanks!!!
Mike's Money-Making Mission continues. If this immodest affiliate program for the over-18 market takes off, he could earn scandalous money & become the subject of his own celebrity gossip .
Linda has created 700 posts in recent times & rarely fails to engage or inform us. Google don't see quality in quite the same way & penalised her, possibly for PPP. Robots suck when they are programmed wrong.
It is amazing how much news there is going on in the niche world of New England Lighthouses. This week, an online lighthouse auction goes off-line because Navy bombs could blow it out the water.
Breaking News managed to breathe more life into a post I did about a nude magician act. They also put together the video of MyBlogLog Sunday. Links with these guys are highly recommended.
If you are looking for inspiration for Christmas gifts, Diane has a handle on making girlie books. I do have to ask, though. Is it glue fumes or natural forces responsible for her creativity?
Wilkommen, Wilbau. or is Pope Benedict? This is an appropriate blog for a Sunday with its religious roots neatly intertwined with wholesome posts on Bloggers Unite Day, news feeds to God's Angels...

11/Nov/07
With a name like Uncanny broadcasting Brain, it seems appropriate to see an uncanny resemblance to a brain on this broadcaster's logo. (btw don't try to manipulate him, he's too brainy for that.)
Money-Making Mike is dabbling in celebrity gossip and doing OK, thanks very much. He dabbles in news videos at Voxant too, and is also doing OK, thanks very much. Midas Mike is the man.
Getting dumped on Saturday night ain't so bad, if you know Wolfbernz. Every Saturday, his mighty Blog Dumps team will show you a good time and show your blog off to the world too. Party on, people.
Polliwog's Pond is out in the wild these days. And full of passion. Not many book and film reviews catch my eye, but Polli pulls it off with a tale of Alaskan bravado. Ribbit ribbit.
Debbie asked me to comment on the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse Fresnel feud. After much deliberation, as long as they don't stand in front of the lighthouse, they should fire the cannon at each other.
Somehow the Japanese cannot see that over-fishing and cruelty to intelligent and ecologically important dolphins and whales is so un-21st century. A pity dolphins can't stick hooks in fishermen.
Kdub has symptoms of a disease - a disease to please everyone. Personally, I say let 'em all down and the consequences be damned. (Actually, that is what I say in my head, but in reality...)
$25000 for a dessert! Now you are talking. But being a practical chocaholic, I would rather have 3000 very generous portions of Death by Chocolate. Does that sound wrong?
Forget ethanol from subsidised corn or sugar, we need to tap into the potential of inedible algae. It would be easier to stop driving but that is an insoluble part of the conservation equation.
A quick mention of a killer comment from Linda. In response to a post I did on Chinese porn, she wrote,
Keep 'em coming.Chinese porn, eh? Does one order that by the numbers? And do you get an eggroll??
MyBlogLog Sunday week 31
07/Nov/07
Blog Dumps continues to improve the internet, offering advice on copyright violation. Not to mention, acting as a directory to tons of blogs and hosting loads of multimedia.
Recapping 100 posts is no mean feat, but Lord Likely has pulled it off, listing what looks like 100 titles to past posts. Join him in his centenary celebrations, and slide under the table, drunk.
Hey pirates, watch out now! Attribution-Non-commercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 License allows others to download content & share Debbie's content with others as long as they mention her...
Claire is a prolific blogger, rambler and student. Somehow she also has time to study baby stuff on racy Channel 4, and listens to Bloc Party. Sadly she sings to that band too. You've been warned!
Environmentally friendly Rob advises us of a floating Pacific island of trash. Plastic plankton, coca cola crustaceans, non-biodegradable tuna - sounds like sea food is off the menu for a while.
At last, I Eat Snowman Poop got up in time for MyBlogLog Sunday. The next big day on the calendar is when mini IESP arrives kicking and screaming in this mad crazy world. Feel the pain.
A billion dollars' worth of baloney mentions Winston Churchill. Billy Warhol's contributors provide an eclectic mix of content plus auto-launching music. Shame about the musical intrusion.
Kdub is a wise man and I have noted this advice. “Before you get married, keep both eyes open, and after you marry, close one eye.” I also try to keep my options open and wink one eye too.
For a trip down mammary lane, check out Olga's blog. Meet the first bra, great-great-great grandbra, Ima Holdinemfromfloppin, and others. This is a witty trip below the shirt, hopefully not below the belt.
OK - MyBlogLog Sunday has been revealed finally, on Wednesday.
MyBlogLog Sunday week 30
28/Oct/07
Rob rock 'n rolls around the internet & discovered a site called Jamendo where you can legally download albums for free. The bands are obscure, so although you can download, will you necessarily want to?
Sanibel Lighthouse gets an insanitary amount of attention on Debbie's excellent blog. Thousands of dead fish landed amidst a flood of theories on what caused their demise. Something stinks here.
Save Our Forest gives 15 reasons to go vegetarian. Perhaps a non-meat diet will reduce chances of death from degenerative disease, but won't living on lettuce result 100% in death by starvation?
Ses is a computer geek with an imaginative About Me page. It is in the form of a Q&A session. She must rank as the smartest thing to come out of Belgium since, I dunno, Jean-Claude van Damme or Wavumi?
Split Brain have been performing electronic brain surgery since 2001. 300 RSS readers, hundreds of varied posts, and 2 launches paint a picture of persistence and smarts. Bookmark
Diane is to arts and crafts what Hannibal Lector is to human liver recipes - there seems to be no limit to her creativity. Paper, book-binding and "Paper, scissors, stone" it's all there.
N-n-n-n-nineteen, a video and song they tried to ban. N-n-n-n-never again will there be a repeat of Vietnam? N-n-n-n-o, it is different this time round. Average age of death, n-n-n-nearer 30.
OS9 User had a sleepless night pondering the upcoming video broadcast of MyBlogLog Sunday. It is easy for an outsider with no pressure to say relax & enjoy, but really, relax & enjoy. Let the muse take over.
OK - MyBlogLog Sunday is over for another day.
As you may have gathered, this episode of MyBlogLog Sunday is also being video-ed by Breaking News. A round of applause to the team and a rocket up the featured bloggers to spread the word!
On Wednesday, the video will be available from Breaking News / and for embedding in your blog, hint, hint.

MyBlogLog Sunday week 29
21/Oct/07
2 Dolphins stick 2 fingers to SUVs and safety, two terms that don't mix. Logically, bigger is better, but not when bigger means taller and easier to flip. For off-roading, I prefer a mountain bike, but I'm weird.
53% bumblebee, 47% bookworm, 100% blogger, Nessa generates a lot of buzz on her site, mumbling about multifarious daily thots. (Maybe alter the stats a little to allow for 2% bad speller?)
Debbie continues to brighten up the world with info on New England lighthouses. Ironically, I missed the NJ challenge, because I went West this weekend looking at boats. If we move, we'll need her sister blog.
Save Our Forest packs a big punch blogging about global climate change. It isn't all doom 'n gloom, however. If Australia dries up, their cricket team will emigrate and sign up for England. Fair result.
Compliments are flying aplenty at Larry's site. Talking of flying, he recently returned from Europe and relates how his stomach turned to spaghetti with someone else behind the wheel of a sporty Italian number.
Steamy Marvalus One opines on a variety of random topics close to her big heart. Sounds like she has a writing addiction, but is on the mend, down to 3! She must have had a reinforced keyboard.
With a death on the cards for adventuring Lord Likely, it is time for a lighter look at life through the goggle eyes of Andy Fanton's blockbuster Carotty Kid. Eat your greens, folks, they're good for your humor.
If you can write, why not write something before midnight for the John C believes in Me contest. You may win yourself a gift in a plain brown wrapper. The mind boggles, but it will be worth it.
Primarily a successful blog directory, Blog Dumps is taking on Youtube with its pimped out BlogDumps Video service. The first MBL Sunday Video broadcast will therefore break all the rules & premier on 2 sites.
OK - MyBlogLog Sunday is over for another day.
As you may have gathered, this episode of MyBlogLog Sunday is being video-ed by Breaking News, no expense and no featured bloggers spared. If you had a mini review, mention your appearance here ASAP and your coverage in the video will increase significantly.
On Wednesday, technology permitting, the video will be available, (all rights completely disregarded), on Youtube and BlogDumps Video and anyone else who will have us.

14/Oct/07
Dede at 2 Dolphins finds 10 things to do with a plastic bag. I shudder to think what the sandwiches taste like after recycling the shopping bag into a doggy-do collector into a lunch bag.
I thought OS9 User was losing his breaking news touch with a story about Vista crashing, but it seems he has insider info on corporate buyers who insist on upgrading their PC depts with XP. THAT's interesting.
Link and Earn (not Link and Learn as I mistakenly wrote earlier) encourage you to brag about your contest victories. Will they be shouting about a memory card contest victory of their own, later?
For illuminating posts about New England lighthouses go no further than Debbie Dolphin. She also re-named me Peon Whisperer, so as not to put off her PG readers from visiting my flashy XXX site.
From Photos to Search Engines to Techipedia, Tamar seems to be inquisitive, curious, knowledgeable and a prolific blogger with the writing energy of a small power station.
"I’m quiet, mysterious and hardworking ...." Blogging is obviously a perfect platform for the 10th of March. Out of interest, do they reveal themselves on this special day, or is that all part of the mystery?
